2009 Wrap-Up
A fantastic season with some great racing. A huge thank you to all those that make the races happen and the gods for doing their bit with the snow……at Mt Hutt, a stunning day for the Super G and GS when the forecast was dire.
Our new champions for 2009 are Liz Wallace and our men’s champion again, Walter (faster than a speeding bullet) Unterberger. This year ran better than last on the entries etc and we had the entry forms up earlier as promised. We will work on dates for next year as soon as possible too.
Mike Ure is working on an FIS Masters event integrated with the Mt Hutt event. Will keep you posted.
Olympics at Whistler in February and as I write, on November 22 they have received over 5 meters (yes you read right) already with 3 meters in the past week! Unreal!
To all of those going to the Olympics or heading north, have a wonderful time and take pictures. Hoping to have a do-it-yourself picture album next year too.
Talking of Olympics, the World Winter Masters Games are on January 21-25 in Bled, Slovenia. 2000 athletes from 12 countries. You can register up to December 25th. See www.2010mastergames.com.
If anyone has any feedback about how we can do better then fire me an email. Would like to do stuff faster, but customers come first.
Let it snow and Merry Christmas.
